Obituary of Desiree Patricia Adams

Desiree Patricia Adams, nee Pierre, aged 65 of Brooklyn, New York and Georgetown, Guyana passed away suddenly on September 27, 2015 at Kings County Hospital at 11:47am. Desiree who had a special place in the hearts of everyone that she met, was born on November 20, 1949 to Osbert Fitzherbert Pierre and Adrianna Smith-Pierre. Desiree was married to Thomas Elgin Adams on December 26, 1970 (45th year of marriage)whom she loved dearly and together they had 4 children- Tiffany, Stacey, Tricel (deceased) and Destry and they in turn blessed her with 8 grandchildren –Shemar and Sherae; Shaquan, Shakai, Shavar; Saige, Naveen, Nylah. Mother in law of Charles Welch and Krystle Adams. Desiree was a former employee of Joachim & Anne Rehabilitation Center , Brooklyn NY; Guyana Printers Ltd and Continental Biscuit Co, functioning in an administrative capacity. Also, she was the founder of Desel Day Care Center. She was family oriented and lived for her family of whom she was very proud. She lived a quiet life and was quite a lady in her conduct and appearance and genuinely loved. She loved to impart knowledge to others, reading, cooking, listening to oldies, waltzing, having great conversations and amusing laughter. She was extremely close to her only younger sister. She was the sister of Paula Holder-Pierre, Clairmont Pierre and Yvonne Pierre. Sister-in-law of Wilfred Lynette, Millicent, Winslade, Ronald, Michael, Phillip, June, Yvonne, Yvette. Loving aunt of : Denise, Monty, Melanie, Morris, Junior, Sonya, Nadine; Jenelle, Dinelly, Chris, Charisse, Samuel , Paul; Rodley, Althea, Andel, Adella, Andy, Devon; Shirley; Carl, Linden, Natalie, Cilla, Shawn; Rhonda; Cecil, Roncel, Chinedu, Chioma; Sharon, Sherman, Sherwin, Shawn; Karen, Paulette, Simone, Emrys, Tinisha,Melissa, Yonette & others. Loving niece of Sheila Bascom, Cedric Duncan and Casey Smith of the United Kingdom, Relative of the Pierre’s, Benn, Smith’s, Bascoms, Trotz, Stewarts, Yorricks, Watkins and close friends with Doreen Glen, Carol Wilson, Dolly Willis & Wainwright Mc Kenzie.
